Children from 3rd to 6th class went to Cross Country in Griffeen Park. They did brilliantly and here is just a few of them trying their very best!
This is only a few of the children from fifth class who performed their music assembly the day of the Easter holidays!
They were fantastic and I think there are some future musicians among them. Well done fifth class!
We have been learning about the Vikings for the last couple of weeks. The children loved learning all about the Viking gods particularly. For art, we made helmets, shields and longships out of air dough. For the first week we played around with the dough and then moulded it into the shapes we wanted. The second week we painted our air dough shapes. The children really loved using the air dough and we had a lot of fun.
This was our Grandparents Day!Some of our grandparents came in to talk about school when they were small. The children loved it and learnt so much from them. We even had a past pupil from St.Andrews which amazed the children.
We were so grateful to the grandparents who came to visit and shared so much with us that we wanted to send home something special. Each grandparent was given one of the above trees and a copy of a picture with their grandchild.Thank you all so much,we really appreciated it.
To help the children gather information for their projects, we wrote letters to the embassies of the respective countries. We received some lovely letters back including leaflets, posters etc. The children loved writing their letters and there was great excitement waiting for the post to arrive each day.
The children completed projects based on a country of their choice. They made some fantastic posters and power points. The projects were displayed in the classroom and on the walls outside.
