What a truly special day we had on Tuesday as we celebrated the 10th anniversary of our school building! It was a joy to welcome so many guests, including local politicians Emer Higgins, Joe Neville, Emer Currie and Shane Moynihan. William Lavelle, Former principals Ms. Cooper and Ms. Chapman, Reverend Peoples, members of our Board of Management and PTA, past staff, parents and of course, our wonderful pupils and current staff.
Together, we reflected on how far we’ve come, from our days on Chapel Hill to the vibrant, inclusive and thriving school community we are today. We were especially proud to officially open our new Sensory Garden, thanks to the vision and dedication of Nora and Alan Sweetnam, along with the generous contributions of David Stanley and Terry Shaw. It is a beautiful, calming space that will benefit our pupils for years to come.
We also celebrated achieving our Active School Flag, a testament to our ongoing commitment to health, movement and wellbeing. Huge credit to Mr. O’Dwyer, our staff and of course, our energetic pupils!
The event concluded with a moving slideshow of memories from the past decade, a reminder of the fun, learning and friendships that define our school.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so meaningful. We are incredibly proud of our community and excited for what the next ten years will bring.
Go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir.
Mr. Byrne.
