Amber Flag

The St. Andrew’s Amber Flag Committee have been working very hard this year towards hopefully receiving an Amber Flag for the school.

The Pieta Amber Flag Initiative recognises the individual efforts of primary and secondary schools, Youthreach, third level institutions, community groups and clubs to create healthy, inclusive environments that support mental well-being.

The committee set three main goals for the year:

  1. Plan a Well-being week packed with activities to promote mental health awareness, kindness and inclusion in our school community.
  2. Organise a fundraiser in aid of Pieta House.
  3. Create a Well-being/ Amber Flag notice board in the school.
