Dear Parents/Guardians,
“Céad Míle Fáilte” to St. Andrew’s NS.
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the school website which I hope will provide you with an insight into our spirit and culture. We feel that the most important people to enter the school building every day are the pupils. We take responsibility and care for the learning and development of each pupil who attends St. Andrew’s and try our utmost to help them to reach their full potential. Education is delivered in a happy, safe and caring environment. Working together as a school community we hope that all pupils are given every opportunity for a successful future.
We have a very dedicated, creative and caring staff in St Andrew’s and a very supportive school community. In St. Andrew’s we establish a happy learning environment where everyone is respected, valued and nurtured. We aim to promote equality and support pupils with special educational needs.
There are 16 classes from Junior Infants to Sixth Class and we also have the Orchard which is our ASD unit. We were previously located at the top of Chapel hill and moved to our wonderful location in St. Edmundsbury in September 2015. We are blessed with spacious grounds and fantastic facilities such as indoor sports hall, library, astro turf pitch, 2 basketball courts, outdoor classroom and playing field with a soccer and GAA pitch.
Currently our staff is comprised of 22 teachers, 14 Special Needs assistants, school secretary and caretaker.
If you have any queries or questions about our school, please contact our secretary Diane at office@standrewsnslucan.ie or by telephone 01- 6280975.
Kind Regards,
Padraic Byrne.
Principal.
