Last Thursday our 6th class girls played St. Mathews N.S in Pembroke hockey club. The girls played really well in their first league game of the season. Unfortunately, 2 very quick goals were scored by the opposition in the first few minutes of the game. After this the girls dug very deep and started to play some really skilful hockey. In the last 2 minutes of the game St. Andrew’s scored a cracker of a goal. If only we had another 5 minutes we definitely would have equalized. But that’s sport! Well done girls! Your coaches; Bella, Annabell and Aisling are super proud of you.

Last Friday our 6th class boys played their first league match of the season against Glenageary N.S in The Kings Hospital.  This was an extremely  competitive match and the boys work ethic the whole way through was unbelievable.  Our boys had so many strikes at goal but could not get it passed their excellent goalkeeper who was relentless with his saves!

It ended in a 0-0 draw but a very good game of hockey. Onwards and upwards boys! Your coaches Cal, Dylan and Aisling are all very proud of that performance. Keep it up!
